Life of a Cameragirl.

"Your job for today is to just follow him around. Record everywhere and everything he do. Okay?" The Director told me.
Today is my first day as a cameraman. Well, cameragirl actually. My name is Mijun, and it has been my dream to be a professional cameraman.
"Got it. I will do my best, sir." I look at the Director confidently. But words are easier said than done. Anything could happen. I don't even know who "he" is that the Director implying, but I guess I will find out soon.

...

I am polishing my camera lens while waiting for the main actor to get ready. Apparently this actor is the "he" whom I have to stick around with the entire day. Somehow, I'm not very excited to be his cameraman. I mean, he is an hour late and now, he wants the entire crew to wait even more while he did his make-up. He must be a real Diva. Sigh...

...

12.00 am

"Wow! You're home late. How was your first day at work?" My housemate, Lyn asks me as soon as I walk in.
"I don't wanna talk 'bout it." I replied while making my way to the kitchen. I grab whatever edibles in the fridge. Yesterday's lasagne, some bananas, leftover fried rice and remaining milk. Lyn looked at me weirdly as I sit next to her, in front of the TV.
"Can you finish them all?" She asked, because I usually can't even finish a plate of rice, but today is exceptional.
"Do you know how my day went?" I said as I shove the cold lasagne into my mouth.
"No. You didn't want to talk about it, remember?" She replied.
"Choi..." I said. Still chewing the lasagne in my mouth.
"Why are you swearing at me?" Between us two, we use 'Choi' as a swear.
"No, no." I replied. "That's not what I mean. What was the actor name? Choi something..."
"Wow! You work with an actor? Choi who? Choi Sungmin? Choi Sooyoung? Gina Choi?..." Lyn switched to fangirl mood.
"No... A guy. Choi..." I'm trying hard to recall my memory.
"OMG! Don't tell me Choi Seunghyun!" Lyn widened her eyes.
I shook my head.
"Umm...Choi Dong-Wook? Choi Siwon? Choi Minho?"
"Hah! Choi Minho!" I slammed the coffee table.
"Wow! You hang out with Minho. Lucky you." Lyn pushed my shoulder.
"Lucky? Yeah, right. Do you know that he was an hour late? Then, when we were about to start shooting, it was almost lunch time, but since we're already late on schedule, there were no break. That's not fair! I was really hungry. Plus, we walk up and down hills, walk for miles and worst thing yet, I have to film him eating. Oh My God! He was eating Lobster, you know. Can you imagine watching someone eat an amazing meal while you're starve to death? And he didn't even offer or left some for the crew. Such diva! Humph!" I clench my fists tight.
"Awww~~ You poor thing. How dare my handsome Minho oppa let my Mijunie starve." Lyn said as she pinches my left cheek.
I just let her do it. I am too hungry to care.
"Wow! It's the first time ever you let me play with your cheeks. You must have had it hard, huh. Don't worry too much, okay. The first days are always like that. Eventually, it will get better. Now, cheer up. Or else you won't get any of my homemade Mandu."
I look at Lyn with watery eyes as she makes her way to the kitchen.
"I love you." I said to her with my dirty hands on my heart.

But, will it really be better soon? I don't know. So far, I hate that Minho guy, but it could be only my first impression of him. Hopefully, our relationship will not continue this way. LOL! "Relationship?" That came wrongly. I'm just a person behind/holding the camera while he is the "Star!" whom everyone falls in love with. Whatever. My relationship with this fried rice is more important than with him. Om nom nom~

To be continued.
